The Incredible Adventures of TweedleDrop, Book 1, is a morally focused children’s novel that explores the exciting world of life and science through the eyes of a water droplet personified as a young girl. Through clear, easily readable dialogue-rich text, Tweedy and best friends Alice, Roger and Peter discover and explore the natural wonders that make up our world. Starting in a glacier in the northwestern part of Alberta’s Jasper national Park in the Canadian Rockies, our group of intrepid travelers investigate the geological processes that have formed the world we live in. Traveling down the Smoky River and eventually down the Columbia River in Washington State, they explore the wonders of natural lakes and dams, electrical generation, and the natural and scientific processes that make up our complicated and interconnected world. Along the way, Tweedy and her friends befriend salmon and explore the wonder of the salmon runs, discover the challenges posed by pollution and nature’s processes for dealing with manmade contamination, and investigate our moral and ethical roles in caring for the fragile world we live in.
