Alu Like Research and Evaluation Unit
Alu Like, Inc. is a private, non-profit service organization that has assisted Native Hawaiians in their efforts to achieve social and economic self-sufficiency since 1975. Alu Like's mission is to "kokua Hawaiian natives who are committed to achieving their potential in caring for themselves, their families and communities." To carry out this mission, Alu Like has a comprehensive range of services and activities to fill identified needs in the Native Hawaiian community, including community economic development, business assistance, employment preparation, training, library services, and specialized services to youth and elders. Alu Like maintains a comprehensive data collection in its Research and Evaluation Unit and the Native Hawaiian Library Project.
