Brussels, Belgium: The value of the Belgian medical equipment market is estimated at over $1.26 billion, with an average annual growth rate of 5 percent. Belgium imports more than 85 percent of its medical equipment, making its healthcare market very competitive among suppliers. Belgium imported $491 million worth of U.S. medical products in 2001.
