THE
CURSE OF KALI comes to the World Public Library
THE
CURSE OF KALI is a historical fiction set in 19th century
India by Audrey Blankenhagen. The exotic beauty of India,
her British rulers living in splendid isolation; the opulence
and intrigue of a Muslim Royal Court; the machinations of
a sinister cult of Kali; the horrors of the Indian Mutiny:
are the themes woven into the rich backcloth of “THE CURSE
OF KALI”. In this turbulent setting are a man and a woman
whose destinies are inextricably linked, their love yearning
to flower despite every obstacle. For more information visit

A sci-fi / fantasy trilogy by Laurel Hickey;

Thirty-five years ago, the Empress Cassa
did 'something' and turned a good chuck of the palace -
and herself - to granite. Of course, nobody thinks she's
really dead. And nobody thinks she's still quite human either.
The problem? The transformation into granite didn't stop
with the palace. Empire is in danger of being destroyed.
Meet Ulanda, a young woman born and trained
to be a safe replacement for the Empress, allowing Cassa
the freedom she wanted while saving the Empire from destruction.
And meet Garm, Cassa's lover who never stopped loving her
- or waiting for her to come back.
And she has come back.
